I enjoy being a case manager because I know the work I do directly impacts patients. Organizing care can be difficult and I like to make the process as easy as possible for patients and sites. I especially enjoy speaking with the patients and their families on a regular basis.
I enjoy the challenges of navigating through the insurance arena, advocating for our patients and collaborating with various teams. It’s rewarding to hear from our patients and the impact our services have on their families.
What I enjoy most about case management is helping people. If I can help make things easier for patients, their families and their care givers then I am doing my job. I must admit, I also enjoy navigating the many changes of healthcare. I find it very satisfying knowing I went above and beyond to provide assistance.
I enjoy being a case manager because each day brings a new set of twists and turns. I enjoy being able to truly make a difference in someone's life.
What I find most rewarding about being a case manager is knowing that I am helping patients obtain access to therapy. I enjoy hearing from them and listening to their success stories and also providing them with assistance.
I enjoy knowing that I give the patient and their family someone to turn to. Whether it’s to help them navigate their insurance coverage or just someone to listen; it’s nice to be able to relieve them in some way no matter how small. This among many other reasons is why I enjoy being a case manager.
Doing whatever I can to help patients and their families is extremely rewarding. If I can help eliminate burdens and obstacles that they are faced with then I have done my job.
I admire the courage of the patients and their families in dealing with their disease. Knowing that I can help them gain access to treatment, makes coming to work a pleasure.
The best part of my job is when a patient tells me about the changes they experience…knowing that that there is some relief and hope for the patient makes it all worthwhile.
Patient Access Managers provide additional support to the Case Managers, while also working closely with patients, families, patient organizations, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and genetic counselors to prevent and address any barriers to patient access.
